Accurate viewership data for digital signage

InterFace™ is a powerful viewership validation tool that gives digital signage network operators and advertisers accurate data on how many people actually look at screens - and for how long.
Developed in-house by digital signage provider 1-2-1VIEW, InterFace™ is based on unique Viewership Validation technology. It allows digital signage network operators to capture viewer behaviour with true accuracy and enables them to provide advertisers with sought after viewership data which previously was largely based on estimates and expensive census subscriptions.
InterFace™ captures every view on every screen across a digital signage network in real time. This puts a much greater premium on the advertising space of an operator's network, thereby dramatically increasing overall network revenues.

What does InterFace™ do?
While research has shown that consumers largely enjoy watching ad-supported media out of home and their buying decisions are often influenced by them, guaranteed viewership data has so far been almost impossible to obtain.
With InterFace™, operators now have a tool that measures the true impact of outdoor advertising by providing accurate data on how many people have looked at individual screens, for how long. As InterFace™ is a fully integrated value added tool on 1-2-1VIEW's IP-based digital signage platform, network operators have the opportunity to cross-reference the InterFace™ viewership data with regular playlist data to pinpoint viewer exposure for individual ads.
InterFace™ requires no separate hardware set up. Using the same web-based operating console, InterFace™ seamlessly integrates with existing 1-2-1VIEW digital signage functions such as playlist management and monitoring functionality. This ability to cross-reference viewership data provides both network operators and advertisers with crucial decision making tools to increase their network and advertising effectiveness.
InterFace™ answers important questions about the effectiveness of a digital signage network and the advertisements and other content shown on it, including:

  • How many people actually looked at the screen?
  • How long did they watch the ad on the screen?
  • In which locations do people tend to dwell longer in front of screens and are thus more receptive for longer messages?
With an easy to use console, InterFace™ lets operators crossreference viewership data with regular playlist information to produce insightful reports.

How it works
  • Viewers will be captured within seconds by InterFace™'s viewfinder technology. Only full frontal viewing will be recognised and counted as a direct view
  • InterFace™ tracks the viewer as long as he/she is within the perimeter of the webcam, thereby recording how long an individual actually looks at the screen
  • Viewership data is stored in a database linked to the playlist in 1-2-1VIEW's software management platform for easy and timely report generation
